i started milk studio with a dollar and a dream....
literally, bc i'm a student lol

but ok story time now
i've been doing nail art since thin liner polishes were peak innovation and you genuinely weren't a cool girl without crackle nail polish lol
but there's just something about a fresh salon set that regular polish will never live up to...
gel just gives you so much more creative freedom
so yeah.. that's what started my addiction lol

then in 2022 i started my degree, and my salon appointments were the first thing to go 😢
after a few months of consistently crusty dusty nails i was like
"i'm gonna try to do my own nails, how hard could it really be?"

some of the worst nail days of my life. an endless number of gel sets that looked more like a lumpy bowl of oatmeal than actual nails

but the past 4 years, countless hours of youtube, nail classes, and mangling my own cuticles with an electric file has brought me here

my goal for milk studio? a space where us baddies on a budget can still get our nails done without needing to survive on instant noodles for 2 weeks after
